Wynn Del Price, 76, of Logan, Utah, husband, father, and journeyman of many things, died on Monday, February 26, 2024.
Wynn was born in Malad, Idaho on a Friday to Ralph D and Hope Thomas Price. He graduated from Malad High School and attended Ricks College before serving an LDS mission in 1966 in what was then referred to as the Southwest Indian Mission, the Four Corners Mission, serving Utah, Colorado, New Mexico and Arizona.
Upon returning, he attended BYU and then married Lois Ann Nielsen on June 13, 1969 in the Logan LDS Temple. Eventually, they purchased a small but mighty Victorian home on a peaceful half an acre lot in the historical district of downtown Logan, Utah. Wynn, having a special talent for working with his hands, spent the rest of his youthful days restoring the house to a new glory. In this very home, together Wynn and Lois would raise two amazing kids - Emily Hope and Charles Edward.
As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, music had a very special place in Wynn’s life. He had a beautiful tenor voice and loved singing in his ward choir and city choir, The Towne Singers, and enjoyed holding many musical and teaching callings for the church. He was a man of many skills and interests which encompassed playing numerous musical instruments, pottery, motorcycles, home renovation, vintage cars and restoration, sewing and quilting, welding and metal arts, trebuchet design, architecture, landscaping, camping, and much more. He loved taking long drives in nature to capture the canyon’s changing colors on film and making a playlist of every version of Carol of the Bells he could find. He was licensed as a building contractor, real estate broker, and private pilot. For many, he was a colorful enigma.
Wynn is survived by his loving wife Lois Ann, two children Emily and Charles, daughter-in-law Kristi Alyse and three grandchildren: Wesley, Sawyer and Penny; and siblings Ralph, Collin, Marteena and Darron.
Wynn will be buried in the Hyrum City Cemetery, Hyrum UT. A private graveside service will be held. In lieu of flowers, and in memory of Wynn, please do something very gentle and kind for someone.
